Study on improving work efficiency using an automatic pretreatment device in the measurement method for mercury in exhaust gas.

Automation of mercury measurement in exhaust gas for improved operational efficiency. Reduction of human error as well.

This technical document discusses the efficiency improvements in the measurement of mercury in exhaust gases using the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA." The method for measuring mercury in exhaust gases is defined in the Ministry of the Environment's Notification No. 94 of 2016, where the analytical samples are broadly classified into "gaseous mercury," which is collected in an absorbent solution, and "particulate mercury," which is collected on a cylindrical filter paper. This mercury measurement method has increased labor requirements, and since all tasks are performed manually, there is a risk of human error, making automation for efficiency improvements desirable. Therefore, to enhance work efficiency and eliminate human errors, we conducted a study on mercury measurement using the automatic acid and other additive heating pretreatment device "DEENA" manufactured by BL Tech Co., Ltd. [Contents] ■ About DEENA ■ Application to mercury measurement in exhaust gases ■ Application to arsenic and selenium analysis, etc. [Source] ■ Study on the efficiency improvement of the mercury measurement method in exhaust gases using the automatic pretreatment device DEENA as per the Ministry of the Environment's Notification No. 94 of 2016. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Study on the decomposition using nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (aqua regia) in the analysis of impurities in iron and steel.

[Free Technical Materials Available] Successfully automated tasks previously done by hand! No need for reagent preparation, achieving improved work efficiency!

This technical document discusses the automatic pretreatment using nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (water) for the analysis of impurities contained in iron and steel, utilizing the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA" for reagent addition and acid decomposition. Steel becomes more rigid when it contains boron and other impurities, but if there are too many impurities, it becomes brittle. Therefore, managing the impurity content is extremely important in the production of high-quality steel. The analysis method commonly used is nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (aqua regia) decomposition; however, this method is labor-intensive and time-consuming, and it generates a significant amount of harmful acid decomposition gases, making it difficult to safely and rapidly process multiple samples. To address this, we examined the automatic pretreatment using nitric acid-hydrochloric acid (water) for the analysis of impurities in iron and steel with "DEENA," which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and dilution under PC control in a fully automated manner. Study on the decomposition using nitric acid in the analysis of Cd and other elements in rice and rice ears.

[Free Technical Data Available] Fully automated from stirring and heating to mixing! Contributes to significant reduction in work time!

This technical document discusses the automatic pretreatment of rice (brown rice and white rice) and rice ears using the nitric acid reflux method with the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA," which employs automatic pretreatment such as reagent addition and acid decomposition. Regarding cadmium contained in rice, the standard has been set at 1 ppm (mg/kg) until now, but in April 2010, a revision was issued to part of the standards for food and additives, changing the standard for cadmium and its compounds contained in rice (brown rice and white rice) to below 0.4 ppm (mg/kg). In conventional methods, wet decomposition typically involves the use of nitric acid, sulfuric acid, or perchloric acid, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive, making it difficult to process multiple samples quickly. Therefore, we examined the automatic pretreatment of rice (brown rice and white rice) and rice ears using the nitric acid reflux method with "DEENA," which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and dilution under PC control in a fully automated manner. Technical Data: Automatic Pre-treatment Using Hydrofluoric Acid and Nitric Acid

Automated pretreatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid in the decomposition of silica with DEENA3.

This document introduces the automatic pretreatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid for the decomposition of silica with "DEENA3." Silica involves complicated reagent addition procedures in acid decomposition, making it very labor-intensive. Additionally, there are concerns about human exposure to acidic reagents like hydrofluoric acid, which poses risks during analysis. Therefore, we automated the sample pretreatment for ICP/OES and ICP/MS using the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA3" for acid addition and other processes. Automated pretreatment method for acid decomposition in dairy products using DEENA2.

Examination of pretreatment methods using sulfuric acid and nitric acid regarding the ministerial ordinance on the standards for components of milk and dairy products, as well as the standard criteria for food and additives.

The pre-treatment methods for non-mineral water soft drinks specified in the "Ministerial Ordinance on Standards for Components of Milk and Dairy Products (Ministry of Health and Welfare Ordinance No. 52 of 1951)" and the "Standards for Food, Additives, etc. (Ministry of Health and Welfare Ordinance No. 370 of 1959)" involve complicated reagent addition operations in acid decomposition, making it very labor-intensive. Additionally, the use of acid reagents such as sulfuric acid and nitric acid poses exposure risks to humans, making the analysis hazardous. Therefore, we have automated the sample pre-treatment for ICP-OES and ICP/MS using the automatic pre-treatment device DEENA2, which includes: ■ Acid addition heating pre-treatment ■ Reagent addition ■ Cooling ■ Dilution ■ Prevention of human exposure to acids *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Study on the decomposition using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid in the analysis of impurities in silicon.

Minimize exposure to hydrofluoric acid gas for people and improve the work environment! Also contributes to reducing work hours.

This technical document discusses the automatic pre-treatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid for the silicon decomposition (melting) of semiconductor materials and other raw materials, utilizing the automatic pre-treatment device "DEENA" with acid addition and other processes controlled by a PC. When analyzing the silicon (metallic silicon, Si) content and impurities in semiconductor materials, hydrofluoric acid is often used. However, hydrofluoric acid is highly reactive with silicon, requiring careful addition in very small amounts, and during this process, a large amount of hydrofluoric gas is released, necessitating precautions against human exposure. Therefore, we examined the automatic pre-treatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid for the silicon decomposition (melting) of semiconductor materials and other raw materials with DEENA, which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and measurement automatically under PC control. As a result, we were able to automate tasks that were previously done manually. Additionally, we successfully reduced human exposure to the acid decomposition gases. ■ Purpose ■ Overview ■ Keywords ■ Equipment Used ■ Analysis Flow ■ Results *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
